So it does seem related to the bug you linked to. Except with the added problem
that manually specifying a file outside of the icons directory shows up
completely blank for example an icon in the Documents directory. However I want
to try and see if using the full path for the icon in the Documents directory
without a file extension causes it to show up. I'll report my findings here.
