If this happens with Kvantum too, please report it to Kvantum's github page
(although I've never seen it).

I don't think I can be of any help here because Kvantum deals with window/menu
translucency very differently. In short, when Qt5 came out (or a little later),
window translucency became a problem because Qt5 windows are (often) polished
after they're created but, for translucency, the surface format of their native
handles should be set BEFORE they're created.
