       I also had the blinking problem with KDE Neon User Edition 5.9 on Ubuntu
16.04.2.  The screen just blacks out for a second, as if I had just blinked my
eyes.  It did it all the time but seemingly with random amounts of time between
blinks.  I also have Intel integrated graphics but on a Lenovo T510.

        My problem seemed to be linked to the kernel version, popping up
sometime after 4.1, and disappearing sometime between 4.11.3 and 4.12-rc2.
