            Bug ID: 374842
Summary: 13 version is the wosrt interface suse has ever
                    employed.
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: EEvergreentree at aol.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I am a suse inthusiast since around 2006. I bought the retail versions of suse
10 and suse 11. so i wouldnt have to spend a week downloading them
They were great.
But it seams as time passes, the the brand has lost improvement instead of
gaining it. its as if its de;evolving.
1; I cant use my desktop. anything i try to put there is copied as a widget. or
sent to my home folder. What is a widget, what does it do, why is it being
placed there instead of the file i wnat to place there, and why is my file
being put in a place i didnt specify.
2;after i let a lapse of time pass without giving the machine input, the screen
goes black, giving me only the option to click on the left upper corner, which
lights up as the mouse pointer gets close. but most of the time , when i click
on the highlighted patch nothing happens. its enfuriating. why are my windows
being hidden, and why do i have to click like a maniac chimp to get them back.
3; there is nothing usefull on the desktop, i have to navigate and click some
twenty times to finaly get a screen that looks like a computer interface ,
with a list of drives and folders. I cant do anything here either.
and why not put that list of drives and main folder on the desktop where they
would be handy the way its suposed to be
4; when i finaly manage to place something inside via the windows partition a
file i want to test and work on, i click on it once and the operating sistem
gives me a menu. What for. I only wanted to select the file so i could drag it
around.
5; I try the copy comand to see if that way i can place the files i want to
work with on the desktop. Great there it is, i click copy with the right
button. but when i get to the desktop and right click, there is no paste comand
on the menu.

These are all major, super doopper flaws, not improvements.

then there is more
6; i open yast to see if i can configure the mouse so that it only selects
files when i click once. the way it should be. But there is no mouse module
anywhere in yast. atleast not where it should be, up front with all the other
modules.
7; i insert a dvd. dragon player opens but does not play movie.
8; I loved the 10 and 11 versions of suse because iam a music artist , as such
i use a lot of music lib. and amarok was the best . this lattest version of
amarok does not let me play mp3 or mp4

I can go on. but i think you should get the point.
I asure you that i did buy the 10 and 11 when they were available at compusa in
north america. but as it is, i wouldnt buy 12 , 13 or any future versions if
they keep drifting away from what a computer interface should be.
Inproving it, yes thats cool. I can dig that. but changing everything
around...whats the point.. to waste peopples time i guess. or to prove that you
can do so. you all sure impressed me.
