Yeah, reading the forum thread also seems to suggest that this would be a very
good, if not the best, course of action. But I also understand that this would
be a lot of work.

I understand. That is of course a valid concern.

Well if your feedback is generally good, then you don't need to change just
because of me. It's just that now when I see a full screen folder, the black
and white high-contrast grid those icons make, creates kind of Hermann grid
illusion[1] in my mind, which gives me very uncomfortable feeling while looking
on such screen, it makes it very hard for me to work with such folders (and I
do that a lot).
