I have no idea how the pixmap caches work; I had the impression they are
converted to QImage and stored as raw image data. It could be a bug in the
cache, or a bug in the drivers that are responsible for converting the X11
pixmaps to Xrender images.

Keeping this open, but do not expect anyone to have an idea, until someone
knows how to debug it on your system.
