            Bug ID: 340120
Summary: The maximum resolution of the secondary screen (LCD
display) is not detected correctly if the laptop is in
                    the docking station
           Product: systemsettings
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kcm_randr
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: mr.attilaf at gmail.com
                CC: hbock at providence.edu

The maximum resolution of the secondary screen (LCD display) is not detected
correctly if the laptop is in the docking station. If the laptop is not in the
docking station then the maximum resolution of the secondary screen is detected
properly. Means, if I am using the laptop with the docking station the maximum
resolution of the secondary display is only 1024X768 that is not so nice.

I am also interested in a workaround (I mean set the correct resolution by
editing plan files/configuring the system in terminal) :)

Regards,
Attila

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect the secondary display directly into the laptop. The resolution of
the secondary screen is correct (the maximum the device can do).
2. Disconnect the secondary screen from the laptop.
3. Put the laptop to the docking station. The resolution the the secondary
screen is incorrect (means only 1024x768 and not the maximum the device is
capable).

Actual Results:
Lower display resolution than the device can produce

Expected Results:
Maximum resolution the device is capable

The type of the laptop: HP EliteBook 2530p
The type of the docking station: HP 2400 Series Docking Station
