on my desktop, i have reproduced the fact that this relates to ConkyManager,
which, when loaded, automatically installs all the roboto fonts, without asking
for further confirmation. i suspect it might be because the fonts are in one of
my countless conky themes (arround 150)).
this happens, even if i remove the roboto font completely before.
still weird that this happens as font installations usually should request the
superuser pw ... 
i can clearly reproduce it being only after i launch conkymanager ...

however talking to another user he said he faces the same problem without even
using conky/conky manager.
