- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was trying to adjust the date/time. I right clicked on the clock->Adjust date
and time, the "Set date and time automatically" checkbox was disabled, the
tooltip told me to install ntpdate, wich I did after closing the window.
Then I opened the date&time settings again and after checking the checkbox,
clicking apply, then ok it crashed.
- How to reproduce:
I can reproduce every time on my computer.
Install ntpdate if not already installed.
Make sure you are connected to Internet.
Open the date&time settings
Check the "Set date and time automatically" checkbox if it's not already
checked.
In the combobox just under the checkbox, select a different time server.
Apply, enter the password, click OK.
An error message box should popup with title "Error - KDE Control Module" and
text "Unable to authenticate/execute the action: 6,"
Click Ok to close the message box
The Date&Time window will now close, a new message box appears saying "Unable
to contact time server: $URL_OF_THE_SERVER_YOU_PICKED."
Click Ok to close, KDE Control Module crashes, and triggers Drkonqi.
The crash can be reproduced every time.
