Bug ID: 332571
Summary: Changing display resolution almost unusable.
Classification: Unclassified
Product: systemsettings
Version: 4.12.2
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: burns7066 at gmail.com
Actually v4.12.3, but that's not listed.
When changing display resolution (from 800x600 back to 1440x900), the
selections are _almost_ off the screen - and there's no way to scroll the
selections. So, if it were off the screen, there would be no way to change back
(after changing to 800x600). And there's no more timeout dialog to confirm new
settings, which would normally revert to the old settings - so you could
seriously get stuck.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change from 1440x900 resolution to 800x600.
2. Attempt to change back to 1440x900.
3. The "1440x900" option is nearly off the screen, with no way to scroll it
into view.
Actual Results:
You can select the 1440x900 resolution, but it's almost out of view - so much
so, that you can't really read the setting.
Expected Results:
I expect to be able to scroll the available options - either the resolution
options, or the entire screen where multiple displays are configured --- I've
found this difficult as well... with multiple displays, I nearly had a
situation where I could not configure a display or bring that display's
resolution settings into view.
