            Bug ID: 331911
           Summary: kubuntu 14.04 beta-1: package upgrade 08-mar-2014:
reboot am 09-mar-2014: most settings corrupted
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Kubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: jmdh01 at btinternet.com

After reboot found the following:
Window had no frames; focus seemed to follow mouse (good); windows could not be
resized or moved.
Could not have more than one desktop (instead of twelve)
Bottom panel chaos - icon order seemed to be random
could only have one application open at a time as everything was placed to the
left of the screen.
Useful work impossible; could not run firefox to report this bug
To make this report I have had to fudge a system using an ex laptop disc in an
USB enclosure.
System configuration:
ASUS machine, 1TB+2TB discs (plus 1TB 2.5" disc USB), 6GB ram, Intel i5-2320
cpu
screen 1680x1050
Kubuntu 14.04 beta-1 had been working OK for 4 days
Perhaps this needs to be copied to Canonical; (difficult with my makeshift
system!)
