KDE 4.8 is no longer maintained. If this issue persist with KDE 4.9.5 or KDE
4.10.5, please add the backtrace for the crash as described at
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

You could also try KDE 4.11, which has recently been released, but is still in
stabilization phase.
