The situation has changed with kde 4.11.1. I can edit the filetype and default
applications, tou are right.
But, if I click on a file it doesn't change...
I have a lot of .xml files. I can now edit the default application BUT they are
identified as html files and the navigator open them.

A file .exl (a kind of .cvs) is theoretically opened with libreoffice, but if I
click on it, a pop-up windows asks me if I want to download an application to
download it.
