Though in notifications settings I have specified "Trays icons only" popups
keep apearing on top of the screen. This bug is present since upgrade from
kubuntu 13.04 to 13.10

notification popups with icons in icon tray

Expected Results:  
only icons in icon tray as requested in settings

it looks like setting is not taken into account
