OK, I probably will wirte another patch to make the waiting timeout in startkde
configurable  or optional(meaning you can just disable it).  But it probably
would take more time for me or anyone to write a  kcm for startkde/drkonqi to
expose the option in GUI . 

Another thing I just don't understand :  why don't you  raise your voices after
I posted the link for the review request in comment #36, but only after I have
pushed the change?  I wrote in the review request: "Not sure whether it is
worthwhile to make the timeout configurable at compile time or runtime." . So
if you have raised you voices earlier about that mandatory and hardcoded
timeout , then I probably wulld have spent more time instead of choosing the
lazy way.
