I spend a long time waiting for backtraces to be generated, installing debug
packages, checking if the bug has been reported etc etc. One time I definitely
*don't* wanna do it is during shutdown. It is an extremely bad user experience
to have to even see that something has crashed during shutdown.
Try to make it possible to generate a backtrace or dump core or whatever so the
user can have the option to examine it after next boot, but don't even popping
a window during shutdown.
IMHO this doesn't even has to be configurable in the UI. It should be the
standard, but maybe configurable via editing a config file.
