used hdmi cable to play a video through the tv. when finished, no matter how we
tweak display settings, laptop screen will backlight, but nothing will display
unless plugged into tv.

Platform Version 4.11.2

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. turn on laptop
2. black screen with blacklight? plug into hdmi cable.
