            Bug ID: 318789
Summary: Categories are too numerous and confusing to end users
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: systemsettings
           Version: 4.10.2
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: zakkhan23 at gmail.com

Systemsettings is a very convenient way for the user to change aspects of the
KDE desktop. However, the numerous categories seem to be organized around
technological details and not coherent categories.

For example, Desktop Appearance, Application Appearance, Desktop Effects, and
Workspace Appearance all seem to me, an end user, as related to "desktop
bling," and should be part of one meta category of "Appearance." Default
Applications and File Associations could probably be folded into one "File
Associations" icon. Shortcuts and Gestures could go with Keyboard under Input
Devices. Input devices seems like it would include Removable Devices and Camera
as well. Date & Time should be (well it should be Date *and* Time, for
consistency) under Locale, to me. Account Details and Personal Info seem like
they would fall under "User Information" or something similar.

Anyway, this is more of a usability request than a bug, and really isn't that
pressing.

Thanks for the read.

Reproducible: Always
