            Bug ID: 306425
          Severity: normal
           Version: 4.9
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Summary: Screen brightness reset to max after login
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: vianney.carel at gmail.com
          Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: general
           Product: kde

The screen brightness is reset to its max value every time I log in.

It looks like a regression, because on kde 4.8, I didn't have that behaviour.
My current brightness setting was preserved during login.

Please not that in the system settings, in energy management, I disabled the
brightness control under all modes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
0. Uncheck the britghness checkboxes in the energy managemnt
1. Start the computer, and wait for the login screen
2. Lower the brightness
3. Log in
Actual Results:
Brigthness is set to max.

Expected Results:
Brightness shouldn't change.
