            Bug ID: 302330
          Severity: normal
           Version: Git
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Summary: [KDE post 4.9 beta2] System Shutdown / Logout does not
                    work properly
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: robby.engelmann at igfs-ev.de
          Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: general
           Product: kde

Since KDE 4.9 beta1 I have the problem, that I cannot shutdown the system via
Kmenu->Leave->Shutdown or the Leave/Lockout Widget. After trying it is just
doing nothing and I have to do a sudo shutdown now. It happens not everytime,
the longer the system is running the smaller the chance for a proper shutdown.
What I recognized: multiple ksmserver zombie processes seem to increase in
number over time. I have no idea what the cause of that problem is. Perhaps
somebody can help tracking down the problem?

I am currently using post beta2 packaged under Kubuntu.

Reproducible: Sometimes
