1. kmenuedit does not store new items in the menu. That is, after definition,
they
   do not appear in the menu,

2. The debian menu which appears as a sub-menu in kmenuedit does not appear in
   the menu. Why not? I have programs which do are not part of the KDE system,
   but are Debian packages and should appear in the Debian sub-menu.
