- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Entered root password to change ntp server to us.pool.ntp.org
Even though ntpdate finds and uses that server. from a root shell,
system settinggs said it could not, theen crashed

- Custom settings of the application:
nttp server us.pool.ntp.org

Distribution method: included in pc-bsd 9.0 distribution.
