Install the package that offers the file "/etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu"
file, then run kbuildsycoca4 again. In openSUSE this would be
"desktop-data-openSUSE" package. Please ask in the forum how the package is
called in your distribution.

Addititionally, it looks like nothing added the KDE dirs to the XDG search
path, so the KDE default "applications.menu" file is not found either. Again,
please ask in the forum how/where the XDG paths are setup.
