Whenever I remove the second monitor from my computer. KDE releases that the
second monitor is removed but did not automatically resize the desktop but
instead keeps it extended. Thus always a log out and log in is necessary to
resize the desktop. I have experienced the same situation in different linux
distributions and in different computers.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
- Plug a second display
- extend the desktop to the second display
- remove the display by unplugging the cable
- The desktop stays extended


Expected Results:  
- Shrink the size of the desktop
