The summary says it all.  I'm running Kubuntu 12.10 and uname says:
Linux morchella 3.5.0-20-generic #31-Ubuntu SMP Wed Dec 5 13:27:11 UTC 2012
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The Help for System Settings reports Version 1.0, KDE 4.9.90.

This may or may not be the same as Bug 310672, since that bug covers several
issues and the description isn't quite the same.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
System Settings / Power Management / Advanced Settings
Actual Results:  
Screen remains locked on resume even if box unchecked.

Expected Results:  
Unchecking the box should cancel the screen locking
