hcitool scan returns NOTHING:

    tm2t:/Desktop # hcitool scan
    Scanning ...
    tm2t:/Desktop #

The Bluetooth symbol is in the system tray.

Clicking it brings up a menu of all the Bluedevil functions.

"Configure adapter" shows that the adapter is seen with a MAC address,
it is "Powered" and "Always visible."

I'll be glad to do any other experimentation you direct...
