Screenshoots of KMail and different sorting of KDE 4

Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux

Maintainer of Debian KMail has said it is KDE bug, not KMail, therefore I am
sending it here.

The problem is, that after sorting messages and selecting another one, than
before, so, after changing sorting mode again, my newly selected message
disappear from windows, I am back in previous one, the message abandoned
before.

I use also Trinity DE, and the Trinity KMail works ok, same as the old KDE 3.5
- whatever is my sorting mode, I see my currently selected message.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Details - please, see enclosed screenshoots.

Actual Results:
After changing selected message and afterwards changing sorting mode and
afterwards selecting another message and afterwards changind sort mode, my
newly selected message disappears from my view and I am back to previous one.
Where is my newly selected message?

Expected Results:
I should be able to see each time my currently selected message, no matter in
which sorting mode and after how many cycles of changes.

My KMail window is divided into folders part, message index part and currently
selected message preview part
