Hi Luca, did you get help at the Gentoo forum?  I (also on Gentoo) had this
same problem with the Service Monitor python applet that's in HotNewStuff. 
Agreed that it seems to have started in one of the 4.6.x releases, and
continues in 4.7.0, and that only a full restart helps.  Comment #3 did fix the
hang for me, thanks!  Are you on Gentoo as well, Vitaliy?  The thread at
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=6800404 seems to be the same problem,
with a Plasma PyWeather widget.
