I am experiencing a stuck Alt key phenomenon once in a while.  KDE 4.4.5,
Gentoo.  It doesn't happen on my desktop, only on my laptop.  If it's any help,
I'll mention that I am using synergy (http://synergy-foss.org/), but killing
synergy (on both machines) doesn't fix the problem.

xev shows the alt keys changing status.  Setting KDE to popup a notification on
modifier key change shows both Shift and both Ctrl keys changing state no
problem, but it is totally silent when I try to use either Alt key.
