Summary: Cannot assign launcher key ("1" - "5") on Microsoft
                    Natural Ergonomic Keyboard
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: kde-bugzilla at thequod.de

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

The keyboard has buttons labeled "1" to "5" at the top, which I can assign in
Gnome as global shortcuts, but not with KDE.

Using "xev" they get detected as with keycodes 192-196. The output for pressing
and releasing "1" follows:

KeyPress event, serial 38, synthetic NO, window 0x8c00001,
    root 0x1ad, subw 0x0, time 96428119, (49,105), root:(949,1028),
    state 0x0, keycode 192 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyRelease event, serial 38, synthetic NO, window 0x8c00001,
    root 0x1ad, subw 0x0, time 96428159, (49,105), root:(949,1028),
    state 0x0, keycode 192 (keysym 0x0, NoSymbol), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XFilterEvent returns: False

Reproducible: Always
