I am aware that applications have some level of support for session
save/restore which is invoked when we logout/login a KDE session.

But, what I am requesting for is different. I would like the save/restore
feature to be exposed on all KDE apps to the end user so that he can do it
manually on the application when he would like to. He or she does not have to
logout from a KDE session to save state of an application.

I would like to see the 'save state' as a standard feature on all KDE
applications (like the close button we have on the top right corner of the
window). And, whenever the user attempts to start an application, the Plasma
shell can actually provide the user with the list of saved sessions of the
application from which he can choose the session that he prefers to restore.
