           Summary: misuse of the cancel-icon
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Unlisted Binaries
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: alexander_schier at yahoo.de

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux

KDE misuses the Cancel Icon (white x in red circle on the default theme) for
close-buttons at several locations.
This gives the user the impression, closing will revert his changes, at places
where closing does not (and should not!) revert the changes.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
use KDE

Actual Results:
a cancel icon is used for close-buttons

Expected Results:
a close icon should be used for close buttons consitently in every application

there should be some design-guidelines, and the developers of popular kde
applications should be informed of the guidelines
