Summary: The "greater than" character is misunderstood as "less
than" character in KDE input action screen.
           Product: kde
           Version: 4.2.4
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: SmartSoftwareFactory at gmail.com

Version: 4.2.4 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux

I discovered this bug because I have an english keyboard but I use it in
latinamerican distribution to have quick access to accents. The problem
switching the keyboard is that "greater than" and "less than" chars are missing
and theres no way to map them to other keys. (Thats not the bug this is a
fisical problem cause eu keyboards have one less key than latinamerican
keyboards)

The obvious solution was create an action in input action kde screen that when
i typed META + . or any other key combination the system create a ">" output.
The problem is that the "input action" screen do not recognize (or maybe just
swap) the ">" for "<".

That's all, I understand this is a really low priority bug but I think it
should be easy to resolve and would benefit any one that works in a not native
keyboard. In my case im a programmer and writting XML, HTML, JSP, etc. is a
really pain in the ass.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
To recreate the bug follow this steps.

1. Open KDE Input action screen
2 Create a new action
3. In trigger put any key combination you like, in my case META + .
4. In Action put the > character.
5. Apply the changes and when you type the combination you should get a <
output instead a >.

Actual Results:
The < char produces a < char
The > char produces a < char... ouch
