https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245805

Summary: Ability to define an alternative global hotkey (in
                    System Control or KDE applications)
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: ultr at ultr.pl

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux

In KDE3 there was an ability to define alternative global hotkeys, which KDE4
lacks of.
You can define 2 different in-application hotkeys, buy only one global.

I used to use Alt+F4 and Alt+X to close windows, media keys and Meta + keypad
keys to control Amarok. Lack of alternative global hotkeys is the biggest
regression of KDE4 to me.

Reproducible: Always
