Works in Kubuntu only if uswsusp is installed.
Debian does not need uswsusp to  installed (seems to use pm-hibernate).
The KDE4 "suspend to disk" script effect is variable and depending on
distribution.

Then, to be considered as a remark/comment, and not a bug.
