I can confirm that Dragon Player doesn't play some files. In my case, it seems
to be unable to play some mkv files. I select the file, click the play button,
and nothing happens, not even a dialog telling me that the file can't be
played, much less why.
The same files can be played without errors using mplayer. Other types of files
(tested with mp4 and avi), and even some mkv files, play just fine (except for
the fact that, in the case of mkv files, dragon player doesn't show the
subtitles track when playing them; however, mplayer does).

Calling Dragon Player from the command line with the file to be played as an
argument produced the same results.

Normally, I'd say it's a problem with the specific files or the format, but the
fact that other players can handle the same files and that dragon player seems
able to play other files in the same format seems strange to me.

I'm using the Xine phonon engine on Debian Testing. KDE version is 4.3.2
(latest one available on the Debian Testing repos), with Dragon Player 2.0. If
need be, I could test other file types, or the same files with programs other
than Dragon Player and mplayer.
