Summary: no longer possible to set emacs-keybindings on widgets
           Product: kde
           Version: 4.2.2
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: kde at oss.m-berberich.de

Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

With KDE4 it is no longer possible to set the keybindings of text-widgets
(LineEdit, TextEdit) to emacs-style-keybindings. Examples:

· Ctl-A does the wrong thing (select all instead of go to the left of line) and
it's not possible to change this, ist's not even possible to switch this off
· Ctl-E does nothing in textEdit

For Linux- and Unix-users this is a usability-desaster.
