Version: 4.2.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

Been loving KDE lately .. I am using Mandriva 2009.1 Spring .. The kwin effect
acting very wierdly with ATI card I have i.e. HD 3300. The card is fully
supported by ATI fglrx linux driver ..

Initially I had various problem using Kwin.. Enabling it makes computer goes
black and after sometime desktop restore with some position and windows
decoration still black.. Here you can watch the video
http://www.mediafire.com/?mmxjmydy3wx

Today somehow it was working fine though video playback suck with it !

I thought of seeing my AMD card configuration through ATI Control Center ..
Launching it crashed the whole desktop.. I get Black screen again which restore
to desktop with black in windows decoration and in some other parts. It keep on
gng . I had to restart the system and later on disable the effetcs from Safe
boot mode !

Please suggest a work around or fix the problem. I really want to use Kwin
composite effetcs :)

But this darned ATI card wont let me do :(

Attaching the Xsessions error file.. Also please note that enabling direct
rendering didn't work . It gets deselected automatically :(
Regards
