Yes I am having the same problem with opensuse plasma crashing on start up but
when I run it on my 8 gb usb flash stick  it works all the time no problems.Now
I have just installed it on my hard drive on the same laptop and it worked the
first time then started crashing and crashes every time  I hope this can be
fixed as I like the kde 4 very much.Some ideas that came to me is the flash
environment or that is is just loading  much slower than the hard drive.I hope
this extra info mite help to lead to a fix for it
