Compiz -> Desktop Effects (KDE unrelated)
Can you run "kwin --replace" on Konsole ? THis will close Compiz and start the
default KDE Windows Manager. If you can't reproduce this slowness when using
KWin, then, your issue is related to Compiz and this report can be closed. If
you are still experiencing the slowness with KWin I'm going to reassign this to
its developers
