sporadically the kickoff application launcher will not open when clicked. The
work around is to right click - switch to classic menu, then switch back, and
it will then open when clicked. I am not sure how to provide any sort of debug
information so please let me know what I can do to provide more useful
information.

I am running 3 monitors and suspect this might also be a part of the problem.
