Summary: Unable to enter some symbols with compose key in KDE
                    apps. GTK works.
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: borych at gmx.de

Version: (using KDE 4.2.90)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I am used to entering long dash (or M-dash or em-dash), anyway, this symbol:
"—" by pressing Compose+---
I find myself unable to do so in kde4 or qt4 applications. GTK applications
work fine with export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim. I have tried to set QT and KDE im
modules to xim, but see no effect. Some compose symbols such as © work, others
do not.
