so your patch assumes that when fstype=="ntfs", it actually is ntfs-3g?

i see there is alternatives mechanism implemented (ctrl+F for
'alternativePreferred'), so if I understand it right, then you (and distros)
should set ntfs-3g as preferred somewhere in hal options.

P.S. I don't even have /sbin/mount.ntfs in my system.
