Just upgraded to KDE 4.2.0 (Fedora 10, using yum and the stable repositories)
and I can confirm the user's problem.

I cannot use my FN keys to control the screen's brightness level any-longer (I
have to use KDE power manager from the System tray to regulate it) and if I try
to change the hotkeys for that as the previous user tried to I get his same
error.
