Summary: GTK Styles in System Settings: Qt4 not selectable, KDE
                    style corrupts scrollbars
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: bugsbyhp at gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.2 (Ubuntu 4.3.2-1ubuntu12)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

In Appearance System Settings->GTK Styles and Fonts

If I select "Use my KDE style in GTK applications" the Thunderbird scrollbars
are corrupted. The slider disappears when I move the mouse cursor on them.

At the bottom of the same page there is "Firefox and Thunderbird", Install
scrollbar fix button. It claims that "Your Mozilla profile was updated
sucessfully..." but it does not seem to help. (Btw. notice the typo, it should
read *successfully* in the message box). My Firefox scrollbars have always
been fine, just Thunderbird is experiencing problems.

It seems impossible to select the Qt4 style, the Apply button at the bottom
would stay grayed out. Selecting "Use another style: Qt4" -> Use my KDE
style.. -> Use another style: Qt4 again the Apply becomes enabled, but it is a
no-op. Selecting apply, closing the dialog and reopening will again show Use
my KDE style selected.

Use another style "Raleigh" seems to be the only one that actually works for
me, even if I don't like the looks of it next to my KDE apps.

This is on Kubuntu 8.10 amd64, with KDE 4.2.0
