Summary: kde stopped recognizing multimedia keys
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: benderamp at gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Hi,

I have notebook with some multimedia keys like play/pause/stop/next track etc
on the keyboard.

Few weeks ago they worked just fine "out of the box" - I did not have to do any
tweaking - I was able to assign all those keys for amarok actions and they also
were accepted by other kde apps for shortcut configuration.

And now I have upgraded to kde 4.2 and all this stopped working. With most
multimedia buttons when I want to assign them for some kde action just nothing
happens - as if I did not pressed anything. And with one of them I receive
error dialog with the message:

"The key you just pressed isn't supported by Qt."
