Summary: Existing text disappears when editing entries for
                    KNotes and aother KDE apps
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: djmills at netspace.net.au

Version: unknown (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0) "release 158",
KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.0)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25.20-0.5-default

When editing an entry in KAddressBook, KNotes and other applications the edit
window appears with all the correct text but then the text box in which the
cursor is located clears and the text it had is lost.

If you cancel the edit the text is still there but if you OK a change the text
is permanently lost. In the case of KAddressBook this results in the address
book entry's name disappearing.

The only way to work around this is to pre select the text that will disappear
and paste it back into the cleared text box after the edit window appears and
stabilises.
