All is fixed now, this can be closed.
Once the cooker repositories were finished updating, I was able to apply
updates to many packages, including kdelibs4 and all of qt. Part of my problem
was having libjpeg7 installed, but still having libjpeg62-devel. It was causing
conflicts with the rest of my updates. once libjpeg62-devel was removed and
replaced by libjpeg7-devel, all of the updates could proceed. I am just a bit
surprised that libjpeg7-devel clashed with libjpeg62-devel, instead of simply
replacing it.
Anyway, thanks for the help.
