Summary: Ark asks about output file before asking about input
                    files
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: maciekw5 at gmail.com

Version: 2.13 (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

I wanted to make an archive with Ark today, and there was one thing that really
bugged me, and that made it impossible (!) for me to create an archive. I had
to refer to kde forums to understand how Ark archive creation works.

So, from my computer experience, that's how generally creating a file in a
program looks like (very simplified):

User provides the program with input files (names/path to them etc.) and then
selects the path/name for output file, and clicks Save.

Maybe you get my point already. From my perspective, creating an archive in Ark
is totally unintuitive, because it does it exactly from the "other side".

After opening Ark, there is only a possibility to name/provide a path for the
resulting future output file, clicking "Save" and ONLY THEN a possibility to
choose the input file(s). Unbelievably confusing and misleading.

There's a simple fix - let a user choose input files at the start of Ark, then
let them hit "Save" to create archive.
