The preview pane in dolphin also doesn't show videos anymore, see bug #203760.

In any case I hear the audio when the video is not shown, but I see a blank
area instead of the video images.

AFAIR this didn't happen with KDE 4.3 RC2 debian packages. For sure it worked
correctly with KDE 4.2.4 debian packages.
